About

''Brian Joyce is a multi-talented broadcaster and media personality. Too handsome for radio, he does it anyway, with charm, wit and wisdom. A new brand of political talk; Brian is opinionated but likeable. GQ meets the Boston boy next door!'' - Laura Smith, Asst. Program Director, 77 WABC Radio

Brian Joyce has been a truck driver, teacher, bartender, bouncer, model, and Senior Derivatives Analyst at a Fortune 20 company. He turned down academic scholarships to Harvard and Princeton to play Division 1 college baseball in North Carolina, where he set 4 records that still stand. After graduating with a B.A. in Classical Languages from Davidson College, Brian toured the globe as a stand up comedian, living in six cities on two continents. Brian has co-hosted the nationally syndicated Jordan Rich Show on WBZ News Radio, was the American Man on the Street for Ireland’s 98 FM, and is a regular guest host on Boston’s two largest talk stations: WTKK (96.9 FM) and WRKO (680 AM). Since May of 2009 he has co-hosted The Whole Truth, a weekly examination of politics and pop culture that airs on 91.5 FM in Boston. His eclectic lineup of guests includes Army Brigadier General James Cullen, comedian/actress Janeane Garofalo, musician Matt Kelly of the Dropkick Murphys, sports writer Joe Haggerty of Comcast Sports, Marc Maron of Air America, writer/comedian Paul Provenza, and Rob Riggle of The Daily Show.

As a stand up comedian, Brian has performed with everyone from the Dropkick Murphys to the Vagina Monologues, and his voice work has been featured on Adult Swim’s cult hit Assy McGee.  He has performed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, and the United States, and was one of a handful of comedians selected to perform at the inaugural Comedy on Tap Festival in Ireland, with Emo Philips, Arj Barker, Jim Jefferies, Reg Hunter, and more.

As a TV correspondent, Brian has covered the Rally to Restore Sanity for AOL Television, and he appeared as himself in the Dropkick Murphys limited-edition video The Meanest of Times. Brian is also the founder and director of the AltCom Festival, an annual comedy festival featuring Patton Oswalt, Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Onion, and more. His professional experience includes stints in finance (Fleet Boston Financial, Curacao International Trust Company), public education (the City of Cambridge, MA), and media (the Boston Phoenix Media Group).
